Phase 1 — In production

The platform today

  • The full platform: member dashboard, family manager, officer console, dues, broadcasts, events, documents, volunteer and board management, minutes, activity log.
  • Both meeting modules: Parliamentarian for formal Robert's Rules sessions, Town Hall for interactive agenda sessions — poll, brainstorm, Q&A, quiz, request-to-speak, quick vote.
  • The universal-design contract enforced on every page; the published accessibility standard passed; the consent rules for recorded meetings in force.
  • Live captions from the podium mic, sub-second on screen.
  • Auto-drafted minutes — the secretary edits and signs before publishing.
  • A flagship Deaf-led association running real meetings every month on both modules.

Phase 2 — Productization

Q3 2026

  • Self-serve sign-up for the free tier — an officer can spin up a new org without us in the room.
  • Bulk member import with a dry-run preview, so a treasurer can see exactly what will land before it does.
  • One-click connection to your own payment processor from the officer console for dues and donations.
  • First three outside pilot customers live on the platform.
  • Text-message broadcasts.
  • Newsletter builder on top of the broadcast composer.

Phase 3 — Elections & Public Sector

Q4 2026

  • Online elections with a verifiable secret ballot — members vote from their phones, the count is auditable, the result is signed.
  • Multi-chapter rollup reports, so a state-level org can see all its chapters at once.
  • Event ticketing with assigned seating.
  • First Public Sector customer live — a state-level org or large school district.
  • Business-associate agreement available for healthcare-adjacent orgs that need it.

Phase 4 — Sector packs & conference mode

Q1–Q2 2027

  • Sector packs — pre-built bundles for school PTAs, HOAs, Deaf organizations, and service clubs. Same platform, presets that match how each kind of org actually meets.
  • Conference mode — main-stage captions, session registration, badges, and post-event certificates.
  • Spanish translation for the interface and for broadcasts, with ASL-video alternates where appropriate.
  • Hooks into the other tools your org already uses (calendars, accounting, ticket systems).
  • A public roadmap site and quarterly release notes anyone can read.

What we won't chase

Five refusals. Permanent.

These are not "maybe later." These are "no, not at all." The first four would betray the contract. The fifth is a research problem, not a product.

  • A generic chat assistant in the dashboard. The product clerks; it does not opine. If officers want to chat with software, there are other tools for that.
  • Auto-captioning ASL on a live feed. We auto-caption English speech because that works. We do not pretend to do the same for ASL.
  • Engagement points, streaks, or "you haven't logged in" nudges. Your org runs on attendance and dues, not on app opens.
  • Selling member data or selling ads against it. The data store belongs to your org. We do not look inside it for any reason other than serving your members.
  • A native app-store binary. The browser version works on every phone, on day one, with no store reviews to wait through. If that ever stops being true, we will revisit. Until then, the browser is enough.

Beyond the first build

What other kinds of orgs need next.

The first deployment proved the platform end-to-end for a school parent association. To serve professional associations, HOAs, service clubs, and other Deaf organizations well, the catalog grows with the modules below. Each one rides on the same shared base.

Member lifecycle

Automatic renewals (annual or multi-year, with grace periods). Membership tiers — student, family, lifetime, business, sustaining donor. Bulk import. Self-serve account merging.

Fundraising

One-time donations with an optional bump to recurring. Ticketing with assigned seats and early-bird pricing. Sponsorship management. Donor wall (members opt in). Grant report export.

Multi-chapter

One parent org, many chapters — each with its own dues, events, and officers, plus rollup reports at the parent. Per-chapter feature toggles. Member transfer between chapters.

Communications

Text-message broadcasts. Newsletter builder. Reply-to-thread on broadcasts. Calendar subscription per member, so events show up in Google, Apple, or Outlook automatically.

Governance

Online elections with a verifiable secret ballot. Bylaws amendment workflow. E-signature for officer acceptance and policy acknowledgment. Conflict-of-interest disclosure tracking.

Conference mode

Registration with badges, schedule, and session feedback. Captions on the main-stage feed. Exhibitor booths and floor maps. Post-event certificate of attendance.

Phase 2 adds the newsletter builder on top of broadcasts. Try the composer below — same audience pills, same preview, but threaded into a multi-section newsletter.

Operations & integrations

The plumbing that shows up once the platform is stable.

None of this is critical-path. All of it shows up in late Phase 3 or in Phase 4, once the rest of the platform is stable and the demand is real.

Connect to your other tools

When something important happens — a new member, a dues payment, a meeting minute approved — the platform can ping the other tools your org already runs on.

QuickBooks and Wave export

One-click sync of members and payments into your accounting software, on top of the spreadsheet export you already get.

Member support portal

Members open a ticket. Officers reply. The whole thread lives in the system, searchable, attached to the member's record.

Translation pipeline

Interface text, broadcasts, and forms translated into Spanish first, with other languages on request. ASL-video alternates produced through a partnership pipeline.

The roadmap is published. Phase 1 ships now. Phase 4 ships next year. The refusals are permanent.
